3 Signs Your Child is Ready for Preschool

Preschool is a milestone moment in a child’s life, but it can be difficult for parents to know if their child is ready. Wondering if now is the right time to enroll your child in a three-year-old preschool program in Livonia? Here’s a few signs to look out for:
 
Ability to Concentrate
Don’t worry — your child doesn’t need to sit still for an hour in order to be ready for preschool. For a three-year-old entering preschool, concentration is still a skill that they are working on and one that will be developed during their time in the classroom. Prior to starting school, they should be able to sit for the duration of a picture book or focus on a minor task for about 10 to 15 minutes.
 
Increased Independence
A child who is ready for preschool is going to start showing more signs of independence. For others, the initial sign of independence is choosing the food that they want to eat at a meal or feeding themselves.
 
Fully Potty Trained
